In November 2007, Lamborghini's latest Raging Bull lined up alongside a Panavia Tornado tactical fighter jet on a 3000-meter runway for an entertaining acceleration showcase. Cloaked in satin gray, scalpel-sharp bodywork bristling with exaggerated trapezoidal air intakes and active aerodynamic flaps, the Reventón looked at home on the tarmac of the Ghedi military airport. Nudging 211 mph as the Tornado took flight, the aeronautical-inspired supercar was the first in a lineage of highly exclusive models drawn up by the marque's Centro Stile division founded in 2004. A mere 20 examples would be produced for the world market, all of which were claimed within four days of its debut at the 2007 Frankfurt Motorshow.

Sharing its 6.5-liter V12 and underpinnings with the blistering Murciélago LP640, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann told journalists, "Our designers took the technical base of the Murciélago LP640 and compressed and intensified its DNA, its genetic code." The outcome was 10 additional horsepower at 8,000 rpm, thrusting the car from 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds on its way to a new top speed of 211 mph. Additionally, the Reventón retained its sister car's e-gear paddle-shifted transmission and Viscous Traction four-wheel drive system helping to keep the stealth fighter from becoming airborne. Other than its mechanicals, the Reventón was entirely new. Looking straight off of an aircraft carrier, precise body lines and sharp cutouts dominated the car's carbon-fiber composite exterior. The front was characterized by an acutely pointed nose and massive forward-facing air intakes—styling elements that would return on the flagship Lamborghini Aventador. A prime example of form following function, asymmetric sill spoilers fed cold air to the radiator on the driver's side, while the flat passenger side sill spoiler channeled airflow underneath the car. An aerodynamically optimized floor punctuated by an accentuated rear diffuser ensured the Reventón remained planted even at 211 mph.

The Reventón's arresting shape and exciting body lines are best appreciated outdoors, where the sun glistens off of its clean, angled surfaces. All 20 examples were finished in a unique shade of mid-opaque green/gray, also termed Reventón, which exhibits a wonderful depth thanks to metallic particles embedded in the finish. This interplay of opaque and luster is also present in the bespoke wheels created especially for the Reventón. A set of five matte carbon fiber blades are affixed to black-painted aluminum spokes to create a mesmerizing turbine effect on all four corners while helping to cool the massive carbon brake discs. Other exquisite design elements crafted by the designers in Sant'Agata include a stepped glass laminate engine cover offering a glimpse at the bull's beating heart, LED taillights featuring a triple-arrow optical effect, and the trademark of any V12-powered Lamborghini since the Countach: scissor doors.

Climbing inside the meticulously crafted cockpit, one is met with an opulent mixture of exposed carbon, aluminum, Alcantara, and leather. Set inside an instrument binnacle milled from a single piece of aluminum are three TFT liquid crystal displays in another nod to the car's aeronautical inspiration. With the push of a button, the “quasi-analogical” display featuring conventional round instruments can be instantly exchanged for a second layout more in line with the Reventón's aircraft inspired exterior. To the left, an innovative vertical tachometer consists of two inward-pointing lines that rise in unison as the revs increase, while the right gauge is occupied by a large digital speedometer. Readouts for both longitudinal as well as “transversal” acceleration are located within the central display, delivering instantaneous feedback on the direction and intensity of the g-forces being withstood by the occupants. Swaths of military-green Alcantara and “Reventón” logos stitched in a unique stencil-like typeface on the door panels round out the tactical references in the interior.

This is the fifth of only 20 Lamborghini Reventóns built during a single year of production and is the sole example delivered new to Canada. From the moment its original owner was afforded the opportunity to purchase and accept delivery of the exclusive Lamborghini, it has remained in time-capsule condition and is surely among the best-preserved examples extant with only 489 miles on its digital odometer at the time of cataloging. The car is said to have been closely held and meticulously cared for within two private Canadian collections for most of its life before being imported to the United States in 2023. Landing in California, the Reventón was treated to a complete inspection and service in March 2023 at Lamborghini Beverly Hills, which included the replacement of the alternator, battery, rearview mirror assembly, and driver's door strut. It received an oil change and the mounting of a new set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires. Complementing the car's virtually showroom fresh presentation are a number of correct and original delivery items including its owner's manuals, Kenwood stereo instruction manual and remote, emergency tire inflator, white leather work gloves, and a Reventón-branded canvas shoulder bag designed to resemble a pilot's flight bag. The car was then just recently serviced in January 2025 once again by Lamborghini Beverly Hills.

At the turn of the millennium, under the stewardship and guidance of Audi AG, Lamborghini had somewhat softened the hard edges of its formerly unfettered and unbridled creations. The Reventón, then, was a return to form, with its extreme stealth flighter presence unlike any supercar before it. As the most expensive Lamborghini ever produced at the time of its launch, the Reventón represents the genesis of uber-exclusive models from the firm's Centro Stile division which continues to produce some of the rarest and most sought-after supercars in the world. In March 2023, Lamborghini unveiled its first plug-in hybrid, the Revuelto, coupled with the announcement that all forthcoming models sold will be electrified in some manner. With the Reventón able to trace its bloodline to the Giotto Bizzarinni-penned V12 of the 1960s, this near delivery-mileage example offers the opportunity to acquire what will undoubtedly remain one of the most sought-after Lamborghinis in existence.
